Future Forward: Teaching Beyond Tomorrow

This session will dive into the exciting world of contextual word mapping to spark deeper vocabulary learning and student engagement. Together, we’ll define what contextual word mapping is and why it’s a game-changer for comprehension, break down the must-have elements of a powerful word map, and explore creative ways to model and implement these strategies in your classroom. We will also show you how to incorporate hexagonal thinking—an interactive, hands-on approach that gets students making meaningful connections between words and ideas.

Although there is no magic formula or cookie cutter way to be successful, these are some things I've done over the past couple of years to build a successful time in classrooms.  Tips and tricks to build relationships with both teachers and students while pushing education forward.

I am going to explain our role as a para and some tips to help the teacher to be the best team ever. I will also present acronyms ,touch on scaffolding, and discuss the upstairs and downstairs brain for emotions.
